With 25 years in commercial real estate and more than a decade at Terra Search Partners, Bill advises clients from an industry-wide perspective that opens their eyes to the organizational influence of executive search and placement. He recognizes the opportunity to think deeply about the larger role of a position and then provides the consultation to guide a client through the process of defining that position and ultimately selecting the ideal candidate.
With thoughtfulness, wisdom and objectivity, Bill is the bridge between the client and the candidate that creates the win-win. He strengthened these traits on a career path that lead to a number of senior-level positions in real estate finance, asset management, operations, capital markets and corporate strategy. He understands the many aspects that must come together for a business to succeed in real estate and the impact human talent can have.
Bill earned a Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois.
His involvement in the real estate community has been extensive. He is currently a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the National Multifamily Housing Council, and he recently held the position of Vice Chair of the Silver Multifamily Council of the Urban Land Institute. Bill is a former board member of the San Francisco Bay Area YMCA, the San Jose Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Silicon Valley Roundtable Executive Board of the University of Illinois Foundation.
Always in motion, Bill plays drums and guitar, snowboards in Colorado with his eldest son Jeremy, rides motorcycles, and is a boxer. Another joy is critiquing architecture in the international cities he visits with his spouse, Suzy.
