Terra Places Leo Chan as Controller for Interstate Equities Corporation
The Terra Search Partners team is pleased to announce the recent completion of our search to assist Interstate Equities Corporation in placing Leo Chan as Controller. Reporting directly to Julia Boyd Corso, Co-President and Chief Operating Officer, the Controller is the senior-most accounting professional within the organization and leads the department. In this role, Leo will work across departments within the company to facilitate best practices and cooperation between acquisitions, operations, and human resources.
Prior to joining IEC, Leo worked at the Related Companies for 18 years, starting as a Portfolio Manager for Related Management Company in New York, later serving as a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Vice President of Accounting for the Commercial Division at the Related Companies. Most recently, Leo was Vice President of Accounting and Administration for Related Santa Clara. Leo got his start in accounting as a Financial Analyst for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Senior Accountant at OptiMight. He earned a dual degree in Business Administration and Economics and Asian American Studies from University of California – Santa Barbara and an MBA in Public Accounting and Finance from Fordham University.
